We’ve known for a while now that one of our staff, Mike P was planning on running the Vienna Marathon in April this year. The topic comes up in conversation in the office now and then as he mentions how his training is progressing.

A short while back, conversation turned to how it was an ideal opportunity to seek sponsorship for a worthy cause. We’re now immensely pleased to see that Mike has chosen one of our favourite causes – East Anglia Children’s Hospices.

East Anglia’s Childrens Hospices (EACH) is a charity which supports families throughout their experience of caring for children with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare needs. A charity that aims to ensure that children and their families have access to the very best healthcare and social-care facilities in the last days of a child’s life.

We admire the work of all charities – but the work done by EACH we find especially admirable. It’s difficult to put into words the respect we have for the strength and compassion demonstrated by their staff who provide sick children and their parents with support in some of the life’s toughest possible circumstances.

As the big day approaches, we’re working hard to ensure that word of Mike’s Marathon endeavour reaches as wide an audience as possible.
